The ESP32 board has a MicroSD card port and Ethernet

The T-ETH-Lite, a recently released embedded solution from LILYGO, is based on the ESP32-S3 module and has a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connection. The little board also features a microSD card slot and an ethernet connector for easy storage.

Like other recent LILYGO products, this development board is based on the ESP32-S3 microprocessor.

  • 2.4GHz Wi-Fi/BLE 5.0; 16 MB PSRAM; 32-bit LX7 dual core (up to 240 MHz); ESP32-S3

An onboard Ethernet chip called a WIZnet W5500 is used, which is referred to as "a Hardwired TCP/IP embedded Ethernet controller that enables easier internet connection for embedded systems using SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface)."

The T-ETH-Lite offers at least 23 GPIOs, 14 ADC channels, and 8 touch pins, among other features, as seen in the pinout picture below. As seen above, LILYGO is also providing a suitable PoE module.

For documentation, LILYGO maintains a GitHub repository for the T-ETH-Series that has a number of Arduino-based examples.

The following features are specified for the T-ETH-Lite:
  • Storage: 1x MicroSD card slot
  • Connectivity: W550 Ethernet module (10BaseT/100BaseTX, w/ WoL over UDP)
  • I/O Interfaces: Up to 23x GPIOs, 14x ADC, 8x Touch,
  • Other Features:
    • 1x Reset button
    • 1x Boot button
  • Power: 5V DC
  • Mechanical: 59mm x 28mm x 11mm
On AliExpress, the T-ETH-Lite with the ESP32-S3 module and the PoE module costs $25.98. The PoE module may be purchased separately for $11.43 and is priced similarly to the development board alone at $14.88. Consult the LILYGO online store for further information and ordering alternatives.
